Abstract

In different series of pots containing sandy soil with moderate N and Cl content, KNO3 was applied alone or in mixtures with KC1, K monophosphate or K2SO4 the NO3 being partly or wholly replaced by equivalent amounts of Cl, PO4 or SO4. In the PO4 and SO4 series, but not in the Cl series, total ani on content and cation content of the ryegrass decreased with decreasing amounts of NO3. Cl and NO3 had a similar effect on the total number of anions and cations present. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
