Abstract

On heavy, acid fluvial basin clay soil in small concrete-enclosed plots, growth of spring barley, sugar beet and flax was impaired by soil compaction treatment and by low P content of the soil. An interaction existed between these factors. To give a comparable P response higher P availability was necessary in soil of poor structure.
