Abstract

Nitrolime (100-310 kg/ha N) was applied in spring to 10-year-old trees growing in a medium-heavy river ridge soil; 80 kg P2O5 and 200 kg K2O were also applied each year. In all but the first year more foliage and shoots occurred after the 310 kg than after lighter N treatments. Increasing N treatments were accompanied by increasing Mg and N and decreasing K, P and Ca contents in the leaves. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
